Most Loved Belongings

I stumbled across this post over at Ohmakeup, and well, what a great idea! I got really inspired!

Ellie wrote that this is a really good way to get to know a bit more about each other, and I totally agree! I adore these kind of posts. I love reading other peoples stories & seeing their wonderful photographs, and I also like sharing my own.

As some of you may know, I live far away from my family and friends in a different country. I obviously miss them a great deal, so I really treasure the belongings that remind me of them.

Unfortunately most of my childhood belongings are still in my bedroom at my parents house, but here are some things that I have brought with me over to England:

BOOKS
I have always loved to read, so it didn't come as a surprise to anyone when I announced that I had got a job in a bookshop & applied to a 3 year bachelor course in English literature.

Classics are my favourite kind of books, but I truly enjoy almost all genres, and through the years I have gathered quite a collection of books.

It is my dream to one day have a seperate room in my house dedicated JUST to my books - a library :)

PICTURES & PHOTO ALBUMS
This is me and my younger brother ice skating a cold winter's day in Norway (check out the awsome jacket!) :)
I have 4 big photoalbums, and framed pictures all over the house of friends and family.

OLD LETTERS & DIARIES
Precious memories! Well, these I am going to read over and over till I'm 90!

'SECRET' LETTERS :)
(Look at my friend's drawing of Hedwig delivering a letter to Harry Potter!)

At the age of 12-13 my bestfriend and I came up a secret written language! Each letter in the alphabet was replaced by a new sign, and for years we wrote letters to each other using this invented language (even though we lived right next door to each other and talked every day...but that's girls for ya!)

To this day I am still capable of reading these letters! :D

A SPECIAL GIFT

My bestfriend gave me this little fella at the airport on the day I went to England. She said he'd keep me safe - naaawww! She is amazing.

GLASS TRINKET BOX
My grandmother gave me this probably 15 years ago. I love the birds and the big red heart!

MY BLUE SILVER BRACELET

This was given to me on the day of my christening. It is absolutely tiny, but gorgeous. Some day I hope that my daughter will wear this.

TEDDY
Meet 'Bamse' (Teddy in Norwegian). He is 20 years old, and used to have a lovely white hat and shirt, which he unfortunately lost many years ago.

His pink nose disappeared after his 3rd run in the washing machine ;)

MY MAKEUP
I love my makeup. I am a collector after all.

MY FURBABY
Noa, THE most precious thing I own in this world

This was a lot of fun! I hope you'll do this too :)
