Last day of Christmas...

...that's what it feels like for me at least, as I am back in work tomorrow.

I don't mind that Christmas 2010 is over, to be perfectly honest. I much prefer the time leading up to Christmas. Putting up the decorations, hunting down the perfect present for a dear friend or family member. I love making Christmas cakes, watching Christmas films (Home Alone, Love Actually & The Holiday) and reading Christmas books. Once the 24th is over and done with, I am totally ready for the new year.

So that's what I'm looking forward to at the moment - the new start that we all get on the 01/01/11!

Anyway, here's to the 2010 Christmas! It has been lovely, see you again next year :)

My Christmas Presents - Beauty Edition

I must have been on Santa's "nice list" this year because I got some amazing gifts from both friends and family!

Together with 2 books in Norwegian, Glee dvd, hat and scarf, 2 purses and giftcards, I got quite a few beauty related gifts - yey!



From my boyfriend I got this Elizabeth Arden goody bag:



 My all time favourite lip balm & limited edition 8 hour cream in a pot, an eyeshadow palette, perfume sample and a cream cleanser.





Biotherm skincare set from a friend:



 I have used Biotherm before - their moisturisers are amazing!

Love, Chloe perfume and body lotion set (this was to me from me, haha):

For some reason the original Chloe scent makes me a bit ill, but this one is lovely!

Clinique skin care set from bf's parents:

I swear by Clinique's 3-step skincare, but not tried their body items. Will be tested soon :)

From my work bosses I got the Estee Lauder perfume set in Pleasures & their Christmas makeup suitcase!

In the suitcase there was an eyeshadow and blush palette, 4 lipsticks, 2 lipglosses, 3 eyeliners, 4 makeup brushes and an eyemakeup remover.

Pretty impressed that my two male bosses picked this out for our christmas gift (probably got some input from their wives... ;))

5 favourite... EYESHADOW PALETTES

I have 5 favourite palettes that I constantly reach for when I'm doing my makeup:

1.

 Dior 5 Couleurs Iridescent in 589 Goldfever

Dior's palettes are definitely my all time favourite, they are just amazing! Goldfever is the perfect palette in my opinion. All of the colours are highly wearable, the brown shadows are great for a natural daytime look, and the beautiful golds for more of a party look. Amaaaaaazing!

Dior 5 Couleurs in 470 Spring Bouquet

Again a very versatile Dior palette. Creamy and flattering greys together with cute and fresh pink shadows. You also get the Dior quality, which I have never heard anybody complain about :)

 4 Fleurs de Chanel

Just look how pretty!

MAC Graphic Garden palette

This is the perfect nighttime palette. If ever I want to go for something a bit more "playful", I reach for the blues in this palette.

Urban Decay Ammo eyeshadow palette

Just lots of fun colours! Very sparkly and pretty ♥

Monday randomness...

As I have managed to get the flu (again!) I spent the day doing the following:

♥ Eating a lot of tangerines (my body is crying out for vitamin C)

♥ Finished reading The Snowman (literally couldn't put this one down. One of Nesbo's best!)

♥ Tried my best to entertain the crazy fur-baby (I tired waaaaaay before him...)

♥ Watched Frida about Frida Kahlo's traumatic life and spellbounding art (extremely fascinating!)


Hmmmm, think I need to get back to work tomorrow...
